Being brought up with a strong Baptist background, I believe very strongly in the Lord. If I know something is wrong, I will refuse to do it. This allows me to have integrity in my work. I want it to always be both pleasing to the Lord and right, adhering to the facts of the matter. I also believe that facts are more important than anyone's feelings. I am pro-life and against gay marriage, at least in its current state. I am strongly pro-life, and nothing will change my stance on that. It is wrong to kill babies. While I believe that homosexual relationships are sinful, I believe that people of the same sex should be legally allowed to have a relationship only because I don't believe that people should be legally forced to live by the same moral standard that I do. This does not in anyway say that I am condoning this behavior in any way. The idea of marriage is a sacred institution that is strictly religious. So, for homosexuals to be "married," it would have to be called something other than marriage, as the Christian religion does not allow for that.
I will stand up for my religious values in a heartbeat, but another important part of my life are my work values. I believe that everyone should be the best they can be at any given time. Whether that be at work, school, or with friends. While I have had rough times with my work ethic, I continue to work on it to improve myself. While I have finished my Electrical Engineering degree at Purdue, I am still trying to learn more about coding, computer support and mathematics in addition to maintaining my electrical engineering skills to help improve myself.
